The Secret of Sleep

By Selena W No Comments on 睡眠的秘密 The Secret of Sleep

Hello everyone,

I want to share with you a personal discovery today, which is about the puzzles of sleep. When is it better for us to go to bed every day? How many hours does our body need for recovery? What is the best time to get up?

Let’s start with sleeping too early. In my personal experience, if I go to bed at 21:00, I tend to wake up at two in the midnight and then fall asleep again later. If I go to bed after 23:30, I would feel a little tired when I wake up the next day, and then my complexion would remain the same as the condition before I went to bed last night.

I have found that lying in bed around 22:30 every day and falling asleep before 23:00 is the most beneficial to the body and skin recovery, especially for women. Eight hours of sleep a day and getting up at around 7:00 make a person refreshed (certainly true for me). But as a careful person, I like to record every change in my body and skin. It’s noticeable that if I go to bed early, my skin will be fine when I wake up the next day. Sleep is really important for skin repair.

Now let’s talk about getting too little sleep. The typical result is that I usually feel tired and sleepy at some period of the day. If I sleep too little, I may get anxious easily. By contrast, if I sleep too much, sometimes I will feel dizzy and have a headache. Sometimes I may wake up sad and feel like living in another world. A normal, adequate and high-quality sleep every day not only keeps me energetic all day but also gives me a good physical and mental state.

To sum up, forming a regular and effective sleeping habit is crucial to our health.
